Along the coast of Norrland there are several paper mills owned by SCA, which is Sweden's largest producer of paper and wood products. The finished products are sent by cargo ship down to Europe.

The Pacific

The title of the exhibition refers to the Pacific Ocean as well as to the passive.

Three-dimensional life is the complicated physical reality where we work, miss the bus, get sick, are let down, feel unseen and become depressed.

Part two of the exhibition Videorama where members of Galleri 54 show video/moving image that can be seen from Kastellgatan.

Galleri 54 has been forced to alter its spring programme due to the pandemic, and is presenting a video art exhibition where some of Galleri 54s members participate. 

God is dead, Nietzsche wrote as early as the late 19th century. Religions were widely expected to slowly disappear as the scientific evolution went on. That did not happen.

Each year Dômen art school awards three graduating students a scholarship; this year these are Nelly Engström, Aron Agélii and Karin Danielsson. 

Over the Christmas holidays, Gallery 54 transforms into a window gallery. In the winter and summer holidays the gallery will present those who work behind the scenes and run the place. Today 13 artists are running the gallery on a voluntary basis. The first Winter Exhibition presents three board members: Denis Romanovski, Josefine Östberg Olsson and Ilona Huss Walin.

I utställningen visas konceptuella, dokumentära verk som förhåller sig till politiska och historiska händelser medan andra skapar helt fiktiva berättelser. De olika förhållningssätten belyser olika medvetandeskikt och gestaltar bild- och informationsflöden i video, måleri, foto och installation.

Inner involuntary monologue. The capricious braid of the senses. Reality in the fiction of thoughts. The mental flow in the sea of the I. Natural powers, uncontrollable impossibilities, synergies in parallel worlds. A flow, like weather inside of a human being. What I call presence in the world. In the impenetrable mystery of consciousness.
